About Me:
I have been a Dispatcher for 20 years. Started out Dispatching for Avalon Police and Fire Departments in 1987 and was employed there until 1998 when Avalon closed its dispatch doors and were dispatched by the newly formed Northwest Regional 9-1-1 Center. I went to work at Northwest Regional 9-1-1 Center in 1998 and worked there for 4 years, working my way up to the position of Lead Dispatcher. I left Northwest Regional in 2002 and started full-time employment with Newcom Emergency Center (which was another 911 PSAP) located in Northern Allegheny County. I was with Newcom Emergency Center until 2004, when they closed their doors and merged with the main Allegheny 9-1-1 Center in the Point Breeze section of the City of Pittsburgh, where I am currently employed. Over those years I also held additional part-time dispatch positions at Neville Township Police Department, Bellevue Police Department, Pittsburgh International Airport Fire Department and Moon Township Police Department. In my spare time....what little of it there is LOL I photograph fire incidents/accidents and place them on my website.. www.911photos.smugmug.com
