About Me:
I’ve been a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) for the Dept. of Homeland Security at the L.A./Long Beach Seaport since November 2006, and before that I spent 7 years as a USAF Security Forces (AKA Security Police, HOOAH!) troop, 2 years enlisted, 5 years commissioned. I spent my active-duty tours at Lackland AFB, TX (of course), Tyndall AFB, FL, and Scott AFB, IL. I still hold a commission in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Distinguished Graduate at the CBP Academy at FLETC, Top Graduate of my USAF Security Academy Apprentice course (received Sgt Louis H Fisher Award). Proud to note that I hold the AF Small Arms Expert Ribbon (w/one device) for the M16A2 rifle and M9 service pistol, and a Pistol Expert rating with CBP for the HK P2000 LEM pistol. Big-time handgun enthusiast and competition shooter; active participant in IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association), GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation), and Nevada Police & Fire Games (I do both Revolver and Auto, both Combat and PPC courses). Born in Philippines, grew up in SoCal (North Hollywood, in the San Fernando Valley). Favorite sports teams: USC Trojans (FIGHT ON!), Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles Looking forward to getting to know my brother and sister cops out here, HOOAH! :-)
