| Description: | Small frame semi-auto .45 caliber from Glock. |
Here is the smaller frame .45 caliber version of duty weapon (Glock 21). It is great for off-duty concealment or even as a second firearm while in uniform. The Glock 30 has a smaller capacity magazine (10 rounds) in a dual stack magazine. With my smaller hands, the weapons sits just fine. Those with larger hands may want to use a magazine extender to keep a good grip on the weapon. As far as firing the 30, it's everybit as reliable as the larger 21.
I REALLY LIKE MY 30,IT HAS SUFFICENT MAG CAPACITY WITHOUT BEING CUMBERSOME .IT'S EASY TO HANDLE AND VERY RELIABLE.
I have really enjoyed carrying this weapon as my off duty weapon of choice. It is easy to conceal, carries well and allows adequate ammunition for engagements if needed. Fits well in hands and fires very well placed shot groups even in rapid fire exercises. Currently carry this is weapon with a holsterless belt clip. Never had any misfires or jams in over 1500 rnds.
This weapon is the perfect balance of large caliber power, magazine capacity and concealability. I wear it in an Apache Ankle holster when wearing my duty uniform and when off duty. It is practically undetectable. It goes everywhere with me, on duty of off.
I worked for Smith and wesson, this products is very effective and managable, I do not own one, but if I had to carry, this would be my personal choice
Clearly there are many policelink members that have a lot more experience with firearms that I do, but my two cents is that this is one fine weapon. I find the size and weight to be perfect, and I like the way it looks.
I was a firearms instructor in the 1980's and was instrumental in switching my agency (Lake Worth PD, FL) from revolvers to the S&W 659/459 series. At the time, that was the best auto we could find. In the mid 90's, Glock emerged and after extensive study we switched our entire depatrment to the Glock .40 and .45 calibers. I chose this model, the 11 shot Glock 30 in .45 cal as my backup/off duty weapon and after I retired I still carry (with a permit!) this weapon. Having been active in police firearms research, policy and training for over 20 years I found this to be the absolute best balance of size, weight, concealability, reliability and power. Great weapon!
excellent pistol
serves as a great back up weapon
Always with me when I walk out the door. Mostly carry it IWB, sometimes in a paddle holster (court) and when ever I'm on shift as a 2nd under my armpit on a strap holster. The only jams I had with it were using the fullsize mags from my 21 and I attribute that to having my pinky put pressure on the mag. I shoot with the fullsize mags pinky forward to get away from it. No problems since.
GLOCK HAS DONE IT AGAIN GREAT UGREADE FROM THE 27
Exellent weapon for off duty use as well as plain clothes operations! You can use the same 13 round mags used for your full size Glock 21, as back up mags. If your mitts asre to small, send it out to RoBar for the grip reduction, they did an outstanding job on my 21 as well. Stay Safe!
I would love to get my hands on that
I rate this product well because it is full power, small, and low in weight. I am able to effective concealed carry it in hot Florida with shorts and sleeveless shirt. I am able to place 9 rounds fairly close at 30 feet. I had a S&W 357 mag before and switched to this because of the light weight. I do like the S&W 357 mag. Just too heavy.
I think that the Glock 30 is an amazing gun and I love it.
a glock customer is always satisfied.
This gun can be a officers best friend off duty
Anything with the name Glock will get the job done.
Small, a good capacity mag. Very accurate with minimal recoil. I used it for my duty weapon and carried it as an off duty weapon. Now that I'm retired it's the only thing I need.
Excellent duty or off duty carry weapon. The magazine capacity puts it up there with the full size semi-autos.
GLOCK 30
Accuracy - power - speed
The GLOCK 30 in the legendary .45 caliber offers excellent out-of-the- box precision paired with the ballistic quality of a genuine big-bore caliber. The smooth design and the simple
operation of the GLOCK pistol allow quick drawing of the pistol. Because of these advantages and especially because of its compact dimensions, the GLOCK 30 is the
first choice of plainclothes officers and protection personnel. This is the gun I carry off - duty to dinner, or to a night on the town. Nice very powerful sub-compact.
Great product!
Don't let it's size fool you. The Glock 30 is an excellent weapon, and is easy to conceal for those who work undercover, or wish to carry while off duty.
I am seriously thinking about making this my next purchase.
Another great product from Glock
Excellent weapon all around as most of us said already!! The kick back is smooth and easy to handle if you are a person of smaller size. I can wear a t-shirt and shorts and you wouldn't know I was carrying.
LOOKS EASY TO HANDLE
Nice, My new toy.
I also have this gun for my personal off duty weapon. Easy to conceal.
I really like my Glock 30. It is a great back up weapon on duty and an even better off duty weapon to carry. I also really like how reliable it is.
GLOCK CONTINUES ITS LEGACY, GREAT PRODUCT
small yet large. 45 cal fire power is unbeatable. with the magazine extension it fits my hand perfectly. shoots smooth and on target. conceals nicely. 11 round of 45 cal in the size it comes in you cant find a more affordable handgun.
Great off-duty weapon, compact, easy to conceal, the night sites are awesome. I carry this weapon every where I go! I am a firearms instuctor and recommend this weapon to anyone looking for a great off-duty.
This is great handgun. I have used it on duty for about 3 years now. I have some extendable magaz.ines that help with the small grip.It also has very little recoil.Great for qualifying
perfect balance between size and mag capacity and a .45 caliber roudn that will knock a man down its really good
OK, what's funny is that of all the various handguns I shoot IDPA with, this is by far my best scoring weapon. Magazine capacity is perfect, functioning is flawless and it fits my medium size hands very well. I shoot either COR-BON or Federal HS ammo entirely with this firearm.
As of right now my C & C is the XD-40 subcompact but am considering returning to the 45. I think the Glock 30 will be my choice.
I've carried one since 1998, Been a reliable back up weapon. Highly recommend it... I qualify with it every year and shoots easy and never any problems. I use regular sights as I feel at the range I will be using it I do not need night sights.
IT'S MORE SMALL FRAME AND EASY TO CARRY.
I love mine I have carried it off duty for several years. I qualify just as well with my 30 as I do my 21.
I love this handgun! I carry mine when I'm off duty, because it's lighter and smaller. The other cool thing about this handgun is that I can use my G21 mags in it. The other thing I like is that it comes with hi-cap mags. It's just like the 21 but smaller. I would recommend this to anybody who is considering getting an off duty handgun because this is THE pistol to have.
I have this gun and I love it.
It is very accurate.
Proud NEW owner of a Gock 30. Great back up weapon. I also like that you can use the magazine from a Glock 21. Powerful punch, accurate and fits my hand great.
First gun i ever fired.... love at first site....
this is the first gun i shoot with my honey, i didnt do well at first cause i tho it was heavy and understood the realness to it but now it rocks
sincei have smallhandsthe is the best gun i have shot!!
WELL, ITS NO SECRET THAT I LOVE MY GLOCKS. I CARRY THIS MODEL EVERYDAY AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. SINCE I CARRY A GLOCK 21 IN MY SWAT GEAR, ALL OF THE MAGS WILL FIT IN MY GLOCK 30. I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EXTRA MAGS FOR EACH WEAPON. PLUS, THE .45 IS SUCH A PROVEN ROUND I WOULDN'T CARRY ANYTHING ELSE.
With the Glock I found reliability, quick response getting on the sights (when I use them) perfect size for carry and the punch to get the job done. Carried Glocks back in Trenton with no problems whatsoever!
Of the two Glocks I own and the one issued, this is my favorite. It's small accurate and easy to handle. I was surprised at how little recoil there was in such a small .45 pistol. Even with larger hands, I find it easy to hold onto. My preferred back-up/off duty weapon carried in a serpa paddle back haloster.
This is a smooth firing weapon, it fits my grip better than some of the other models and it doesn't have that great a recoil. One of my favorites.
KOOL SHORT AND EASY TO HANDLE
Actually looking into one for off duty cary.
I'm not a big 45cal fan, but if it's made by glock, it's got to be good
i'm wanting to purchase a new hand gun and looked at this model. Maybe someone could give me some insight as to if this would be one of the better ones to get. I read alot about this one and several others (Ruger, S&W, 9mm's) and can't make up my mind.Help please.....
Purchased this gun for off duty use. Fits perfect in my hands and I love it.
Only bad thing about glocks is the plastic drive spring rod, i would also like to see an abi mag relase
I think the Glock 30 is a great firearm.
This will be great for backup or off duty.
awesome back up weapon . i have not had any problems !!!
I bought one of the first ones that came out. Awesome weapon. The new model 30 has a thinner grip and shorter length. May be a better set up for smaller hands. Either way, if you carry a model 21 for duty, the 30 should be your choice for back up because your duty mags will fit your back up weapon.
my little baby- i love this little guy
i like who it looks it looks real nice
this is a real good gun and it is the best hand gun out there
This little gun is my favorite out of my glocks small packs a punch with less kick than my GLOCK22
good product handles great in all types of weather
Picked up my G30 today. Took her to the range and OH MAN I fell in love. I'm a big bore kind of guy but have been carying the kel-tec P-11 for off duty and BUG. I got the itch for a small .45 and started looking at this gun. Same capacity as the P-11 and just a little bit bigger. Still small enough for an ankle.
I took her to the range and ran about 150 rounds through the gun. Shoots well, recoil is much less than I expected and she ate everything I fed her even those big old hollow points. This is my first Glock. If all Glocks are this good I'll probably end up with the whole set of tupperware.
