| Posted 6 months ago that is true, my son was given about a 15 percent chance by the doctors with as advanced cancer as he had, and he has till this day been through so much in his treatment and stem cell transplant and chemo that i dont know if i would be able to handle what he has gone through. the law enforcement community was amazing. He recieved numerous patches, pins, shirts, cards, letters, toys, a computer and other items to bring his spirits up. Chattanooga brought their beat the heat mustang down and we got to drive it, he has been back stage at dukefest, met the nashville predators in the locker room and countless other things he has been able to do. He has been in remission for about a year and has test again this week so please pray they all still come back negative. Thanks, Scott |

| Posted 6 months ago ... when I started working at 16 in 1973, I worked in the clinical lab at a hospital near my home; back then the lab was where out patient bloodwork was drawn. There were so many children who came in weekly for bloodwork it was hard not to get to know them, become attached and love them. There were two children in particular who, despite their illness, came in with smiles and good spirits. I can’t recall their names now but I’ll never forget their faces. On occasion, they would present us with something they had drawn or made in school and we (the office staff) would proudly display their work. They both passed away but gave a valiant fight for life every second of their young lives. Their parents came in to notify us of their deaths and we hugged and cried like a family. They new how much we cared and how saddened we were by their loss. It is in their memory that I accept and am honored to be a member of this group. Today’s medical research, breakthroughs and procedures are extraordinary and each and every child, man or woman, who is given a second chance at living, is nothing short of a miracle. My thoughts and prayers for your son's continued remission... September 11, 2001... I will always remember |

| Posted 6 months ago I knew a baby who was just about 2 years old who was diagnosed with cancer and given weeks to live. He died from a rare brain cancer. Its such a shame that these people abuse their children/gifts and others cant even have that precious time with them. :( *sniffle*..... http://www.calebmemorialfund.com |

| Posted 3 months ago Hey Scott, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. In 2006 my wife and I lost our 8 month baby girl to Leukemia 3 days after Christmas. She was in remission and her system was so drained from chemo she could not produce enough white blood cells to fight off pneumonia. Since then we participate in numerous fund raising events and still visit with families at The Children's Hospital here in Denver. That event also kicked me in the rear to pursue medicine. So as a full time Detective I am also completing my Biology degree to get into Med school. Amazing what life hands you. Somewhere there is an answer. Hope all is well. Niles |

She has on You Tube a tribute made for those with this. It is called Break The Silence. It was made by a friend of hers Kelly Ripa for National Ovarian Cancer Awareness. GOD BLESS those fighting this fight young & old. Let's fight this together with our prayers. We can make a difference in their life |

| Posted 2 months ago It is an amazing event to have a child stricken with these horrible trials to their lives. I have been very fortunate to have been of service to children and adults, and if I should know of any information that can be of service to any patient or family, I commit to post. In my extensive career as a pharmacy technician, I have worked many settings that serve patients. One thing that makes a difference is hope/optimism, that is the best initial treatment! God bless you with the warmth of the sun daily, The Mejia-Davis Family "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious, it is the true sourse of art, science, and friendship."

| Posted about 1 month ago I joined this group because I have beaten three different types of cancer since 2000. I have been blessed more than my share. I also have a son that they want to test for lukemia, so I am just starting that process with him, he is 15 but other tests has pointed the Drs,in this direction.....
Everyone everyday is in my prayers. BE good to one another, because you just never know when that person is going to be GONE!!! |
