Posted 2 months ago Hello I am Jessica. I wanted to say thanks for stopping by and/or joining the group. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for any kind of animal (exept snakes). I have about 30 cats and one big dog. My mother and I breed Persian cats. My beautiful dog is a Boxer puppy about 4 months old and she weights about 50 pounds already. I would like to see how everyone else feels about there animals. Thanks again.

| Posted 2 months ago Hi, I'm Jim. I live on what Minnesotans call a "hobbie farm". It's work, not a hobby, let me tell you. I have seven achers that my wife and share with about every kind of wild life you can imagine. Woodchucks, deer, owls, racoons, and the list goes on. We bring six large and happy cats, no breed specifics here, just "cat" breed. One rather large German Shepard, and two horses. I'd tell you all the names but I have to go ask my wife to be sure. The shepard babies the cats, the cats love the horses and won't leave them alone, and the horses are simply amused by everything. The deer are curious and want to move in with the horses but are afraid of the dog. The resident squirrels are looking a bit confused and can't seem to get any of this figured out so they rant from the sidelines and torment the blue jays. Morning coffee on the back deck can be a real circus... |

| Posted 2 months ago Thanks for the invite. I don't have any pets right now but my wife adopted a nice cat. We live in a small apartment complex and are not supposed to own any pets but we had some neighbors several months ago that moved away and abandoned this cat. My wife would put food and water out for it and then one night when it was really pouring down rain she brought it inside and has lived here ever since. We have two young sons, one turned 9 in May the other will be 5 in August, and they both love the cat too. They named him Chester after the Cheetos cartoon character Chester Cheetah.

| Posted 2 months ago Thanks for the invite, Jessica.... My home is ruled by a huge Russian Blue feline, named "Biscuit".... I named him when he was just a kitten. My wife & step-daughter brought home 2 kittens one day, a calico & her brother the russian blue...the girls had named the calico "Muffin" and said they didn't know what they were gonna call the other. I named him instantly.... "Muffin" didn't make it living with us....wife got fed up with her and brought her to a no-kill shelter and swapped her for a jet balck cat of unknown descent, who was named "Draco".... "Draco" is now with my mother-in-law. {long boring story} "Buscuit" is extremely large, lovable, loyal and acts more like a dog than a cat...will post a pic of him later.... Mike I'm not "really" a troll....I just love changing my avatar... because...

| Posted 2 months ago I have a Registered Black Lab, named Sampson, the best pet I've ever had, and I've had pets all my life. In the last 15 years or so, all I've owned is Labs. My son and I even went thru a time period where we raised registered labs for a while, but at that time with me in Law Enforcement and him starting into Law Enforcement, it became too time consuming to raise them, so now we just own them. I have Sampson, My son and his wife have three labs, and his mother-in-law has one, all out of the same stock. I live alone, so Sampson is my only companion. If i'm on the computer, he's laying under the computer table at my feet. If I'm watching TV, he's either laying of the fireplace hearth, at my feet, or on the sofa beside me. If I go to the garden, he's there. He loves to ride, and prefers to sit in the front passenger seat. I work part-time, and on days I work, he pouts when I leave, but is still happy and wiggly when I come home. Labs have awesome intelligence, and I might be crazy, but I swear sometimes it seems they can understand the English Language. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have. |

| Posted 2 months ago I have a mini zoo as my husband puts it, we have a German Shepherd with PTSD (abused as a puppy), 28 # cat that RULES!, 2 Bearded Dragons (one of which has laid 83 eggs since February), a Spotted Loepard Gecko, Anoles (Those hyper little things that rule Florida), and Freshwater fish. | Posted 2 months ago Thanks for the invite! I have three cats, all of which were saved from the city streets. My 16 year male cat is gay, my 15 year orange cat has mental problems due to being tossed around a school yard by some kids. He has nerve damage, brain damage (like me) and see dead people. My last cat is a female, part Maine Coon who I saved after seeing her run across a four lane road. She is five and it the Queen of the house. They all have distinct personalities but they are my "kids" so I would expect nothing less than three strange animals. Being a Tyrant does not make one a Leader! |

| Posted 2 months ago Ithought I was the only one who retired to the land of OZ! We raised Newfoundland dogs, had them all fixed and enjoyed their company for over ten years. We also kept three horses and three cats during that time. Currently, we have six dogs, all but one were rescued. We have two house cats and three rescues in the barn that wandered in. The wife can pick them up and feeds them daily, otherwise they won't get near to a human. Our land is a game preserve. No hunting. The only thing I kill is a copperhead that comes to close to the outbuidings. I try to capture snapping turtles in our pond, which I move to a creek a couple miles down the road. We once had beautiful Wood ducks on the pond and snappers are known to take ducklings. Of course my grand dad bass may do so also, but they don't live for decades like the turtles do. We have deer eating from the apple trees, and squirrels stealing black oil seeds from the feeders. Our real joy is feeding up to 75 hummingbirds all summer long. It gets to be a hassle keeping all the feeders fresh and filled. Over the years I have hand fed many hummingbirds that wandered into the garage but thats another story. My biggest thrill was finding a perrigrine falcon in my garage. I was able to pick him up wearing a fireplace glove and he didnt try to bite. I checked with the wildlife people and they explained that many hand raised perrigrines had been released inTN and this was probably one of those birds. I released him outside and he flew away none the worse for wear. |

| Posted 2 months ago My husband and I are both animal lovers. We have two cats. One male and one female. Both of them found us. My male just appeared on the porch one night crying and hungry. The female was on the side of the road and my husband was sitting in his patrol vehicle with the door open while he worked on a report when she jumped into the car. She was very young, probably too young to be apart from her mother. When she got into the patrol unit, she jumped on top of my husband's head, and made herself at home. He called me and wanted to know if he could bring her home and of course I said yes. When they got home, I was in bed and she got onto my chest and attempted to nurse my neck. We have had her for about 3 years now and when she is feeling sick she will still try to nurse my neck. Because she lost her mother so early, she did not learn how to be a cat. When she wants to play, she does not know what her claws are a weapon, She will kick with her back feet but no claws. |

| Posted 2 months ago Hey all....I'm Kristin. I love all animals...the furry kind and the scaly reptiles. I currently have 3 cats (Tigger, Max & Booger) and a white, female ferret (Weasel...original, I know). My family's had cats and dogs over the years, and we've had to leave some behind to to job transfers and lost some due to unfortunate circumstances. My fondest memories are of my father's old German Shepard K9: Ted E. Bear. Unfortunately, someone in the neighborhood knew what Teddy was and poisoned him. No matter how many I've lost, animals will always be a part of my life.....heck, it's not like they talk back, call you names & try to kill you or something. Two of my cats and my ferret were rescued from sure death, & I'm a huge supporter of adpotion and the "homeless" who can't fend for themselves. Guess you can say I'm like a foster parent for animals.... |

| Posted 2 months ago Hello all. I love animals, any kind except snakes! I own two chihuahuas, a boy and a girl. Dobie and Lilly. They are like my children and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love to frequent zoos and aquariums. A woman is like a tea bag - You never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water. |

| Posted 2 months ago --Jessica, et al,
Hi, I love all animals, INCLUDING snakes! I'm partial to dgos, but appreciate cats as well. I've never had a dog of my own per se, but during my childhood my parents and I were caretakers for our landladies' dogs; I still miss T.D. the Samoyed, Brown Thing the Pit Bull, and ESPECIALLY Jet the all-black German Shepherd (sniff sniff). If and when I find the time, money, and physical space (i.e. a house with a backyard as opposed to a cramped apartment) to care for one, I plan to get another all-black Shepherd. Happy America's Birthday and God blessings to all! |

| Posted 2 months ago Hi everyone! My name is Wendy and along with my husband and son we have quite a few animals. Our best girl is our black lab named Jezzie. We also have a chocolate toy poodle Chip, 2 cats (a black one named Licorice and a silver tabby named Ash along with 8 fish, 1 frog, 11 hermit crabs and 1 very prolific snail. Apparently snails don't need to have a mate and so we have lots of itty bitty snails in the fish tank. It's nice to hear about everyone's animals. I would have many more but due to lack of space, I'm limited. |

| Posted 2 months ago I got the names. Cats first... The boss is Tinker Bell - Tink mostly, her twin sister Sweet Pea, (hey, I didn't name these guys) Sassy the half Main Coon, (only one that has a breed that we know of), Jericho the spazzoid, and then the brother/sister team of Ping and Smudge. The Shepard is, no kidding, Master Chief Sailor, (old jarheads like me need a sailor to push around) the horses are Royal Celtic Magic, and Rhiannon. My wife is naming the woodchucks, the red squirrels, the owl... |

| Posted 2 months ago I have a small farm where I breed and sell dogs and horses. I breed Chihuahuas, Jack Russell Terriers, and Pom-Chi puppies. See my web site at WWW.MiRanchitoPups.com . I started breeding them because I found some of the most calm, loving, 'lazy' dogs and so I began breeding for that temperment, and I get it every time. My dogs sometimes think they are cats - they lay around on the backs of the sofas... the only difference is they love to be petted, and snuggle. I also have Andalusion, Azteca & Quarter horses. I have 3 Border Collies that work the horses for me, and now I have 3 goats. This farm is what I am hopeing to work on full time when I can finally retire from my agency. I know alot of people who retire then go to work for another agency.....NOT ME! Once I get out ot this uniform, I dont want to put on another! If you go to the web site and see a puppy that you want, we can work out a price that will include shipping (if needed) that a LEO can afford, just let me know. |

| Posted 2 months ago Hi I'm Stephanie. Our place feels like Noah crash landed some days. We share our home with our 7 fur babies. We have 1 rat terrier chihuahua mix; "willie"; 3 weiner dogs: the baby, a dapple "lulu" and two geriatric weiners, Granny & Weezy. Their mommy was found deceased after 10 days and no one wanted them, so they came home with me. We also have a boston terrier "Piper" that's our latest addition from the shelter. She's a lil fireball and we are really enjoying her. We have one cat; Cat Daddy. He chooses to be an outside cat and loves to run the pasture with the cattle. I've desperately tried to make him an inside cat but he doesn't seem to want to cooperate with the mama. We also have one horse. A palamino appaloosa, "Butters". She's an angel and my dearest friend. She'd been abused and when she first came to us would hide behind the barn everytime you'd come into the pen. Now she's harassing us for cookies and carrotts and whatever other treats she can mug ya for. We just love her to pieces!! There's been talk of my husbands dept creating a K9 position and we're desperately hoping they do and he can work that particular position. So we'd have another..LOL I could never do the animal control job, they'd all come home with me!!! I do not go where the path leads. I instead, create my own path...and leave a trail. |

This should be an interesting group. |

| Posted 2 months ago Brothers out there, all of you know that the love and loyalty of an animal far outweighs the backbiting of human companions. As an only child, my dogs and my dad's K-9's were my only family. They only do what their creator, God Almighty, meant for them to do . We are the sinful ones. Without my furbabies , I would be a 103M. Keep in touch, JPSarge |

Well, okay, I lied: I don't love fleas, houseflies, or mosquitoes, heh heh!
No kidding...I think they tell each other who the good humans are or something.....

2 cats - Daisy & Sunshine & A Red Lored Parrot (Oliver). The Parrot loves to chase the older cat around, and the other cat stays away from the Parrot. Also I feed a capture the local cats. Our city animal warden then takes the cats to Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods, Il.
