New Admin for Homeland Security Group.

Posted about 1 month ago As some of you might have noticed already, I am the new Administrator for the Homeland Security Group.. I am asking you all to bare with me as I try to dig my feet in. I would also like to ask everyone in the group to not send MASS PM's from this group. If you need to send a MASS PM please let me know . Feel free to talk and mingle in the group.. But to avoid any kind of confusion, and have no clue to the history of this group , I would like to point out, with all due respect, that there was another group formed called "The Real Homeland Security Group", This group was formed when there were some serious issues being addressed of it's founder of this group. Ours, once a public forum, The Real Homeland Security Group has changed it's status to LEO members only. So there are two HLS groups here, one strictly for LEO members. Thank you for the time given to me in order to clarify the difference in the two groups, noting in the end for the advancement and progress in fighting fanatical terrorists is our ultimate goal, and we'd be more than happy to share what we can with this group. ...in order for evil to triumph, good men do nothing...........

| Posted about 1 month ago Good luck FireDad6 , many good people were lost when the Real Homeland Security Group went to LEO only . The real homeland security group was only formed because Panda was found out to be "The Great Impostor". Many people who were either Military or Security felt out of place and removed themselves from the group. I am sure that you will have a great success once these people find out that you are going to renew the Homeland Security group. | Posted about 1 month ago I will continue to be a member of this group and help out as much as possible but FireDad6 is the man. This group has taken on legitimacy now as a place where LEOs and everyone else can come together to discuss the important issue of homeland security and how it affects us all. This group is different than "The Real Homeland Security" group, which is as Icelady stated is LEO only, and all info that should remain for LEOs only should be taken there. I would encourage LEOs interested in this topic to take part in both groups and lend their experience and knowledge when and where prudent. Congrats to FireDad6 for taking on this group! Even though I'm longer an LEO, I was Grandfathered into the other group, "The Real Homeland Security Group" and others were offered that chance too. But since you have to be an LEO now to join I think it is great that this group is also allowed to continue as not only LEOs have an interest in what is happening with Homeland Security. I'm an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham) and by being involved in the local RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) I work as a civilian volunteer in support of Homeland Security in a National, State, and local level(s). | Posted about 1 month ago Congrats FireDad! I am glad to see this group being led in the right direction again. Look forward to the information. I may not be an LEO, but as a trainer for E911, some of the threads of information I have read have been insightful for a dispatch center. A woman is like a tea bag - You never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water. |
