Posted 4 months ago The Law Enforcement community kicks butt! No one appreciates what you all do, They see you as just another donut eatin ticket writing cop. I see you as men and women patroling the streets keeping my family safe and everything in order. As a CO and a local Voulanteer fire fighter ive seen how law enforcement can be disrespected in so many ways and its hard to hold back. Tell me how do you local police, Trooper and deputys hold back from breaking noses and teeth of these people who call names and make stupid comments like "f the police" and "pigs"? liberty or death, what we so proudly hail, once you provoke her. You will hear the rattling of her tail. She will return with a deadly bite, so dont tread on me |

| Posted 4 months ago It's definately an oddity, this society of ours. I wore a uniform for many years, just like people are wearing it today, to protect their right to insult me. Someone once gave me a bit of philosophy and I remember it well. The words of a fool only insult another fool.

| Posted 4 months ago Actually, I don't let it get passed my uniform. They are usually just ranting the uniform and not me. Out of uniform, I am not known. They will pass me on the street without much notice. So when people act the idiot, it's just humanity as it's worst. It's very impersonal. I don't take it personally. Again, it's not me they don't like, it's the uniform and what it may represent to them. And legally speaking, 'my peace cannot be disturbed". On the other hand, the person who is beefing me one day will be the one dialing 911 the next. All of a sudden they want our help. Now isn't that just dandy? The idiot one day, the victim who needs assistance the next. Needs help this week, goes to jail next week. Something about 'what goes around, comes around..." comes to mind. 10-8... "We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and he is Best, who is trained in the severest school." | Posted 4 months ago I once hear a fellow police officer on the channel TruTv make this comment about being verbally abused. "When the bad guys start using profanity towards me all I hear is Charlie Brown's teacher from the old Peanuts cartoon.....wa wa wa wha wa" And now that I think about it thats kind of true.......for the most part I dont even realized they are cussing me K-9 Handlers always have the balls!!!! |

| Posted 4 months ago over the years this happens more and more but we cannot bring ourselves down to there level we wear the uniform we are those sworn to uphold the laws if we go to there level then we are no better then them, yes it is hard to hold ones tongue and I have slip several times and said thing, I can say there are also others that have gotten upset and said things also, but when it all comes out we did not go all the way to there level we still are the ones that chose the side of right to uphold the laws set fourth so we cannot become them for if we do then all would be lost and can we think of the USA without law and the order we uphold. Only God knows his plans for all of us and why we might meet in life |

| Posted 4 months ago Banjo music drives them crazy. I keep some on my MP3 player for just that reason. You would be surprised how well Earl Scruggs works at pissing people off on the trip to the county. Also, the ones that cuss the loudest are usually the first ones to file a complaint against you. | Posted 3 months ago I grew up in the Law Enforcement Community in Virginia in the new age police world. My FTO's didn't do donuts and coffee. I prefer bagles and bottled water. If I have offended anyone, so be it. |
