This is your exact quote from the video titled Illegal Alien Shot At Border (video cam footage).......
since the others WERE throwing rocks at the officer, and you don't get to see the whole picture (meaning the several minutes prior...video DOES lie), why don't you give the benefit of the doubt to the man that was there...perhaps the same man you may end up partnered with one day. As an officer, his judgement should be trusted and not questioned since you were not there and cannot possibly be able to give an appropriate evaluation on his performance. Stop this "everybody needs to love and respect everybody else" BS and call a spade a spade. And as far as calling the border-brothers "tacos", well what do you think they were yelling at the officer as they were trying to stone him? "hey, I really respect you hard-working white people, but I'm still going to try to hurt or kill you with a rock, ok?" One day you just might have to live in the real world.
YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN YOUR STATEMENT...."HEY, I REALLY RESPECT YOU HARD-WORKING WHITE PEOPLE, BUT I'M STILL GOING TO TRY TO HURT OR KILL YOU WITH A ROCK, OK?" ONE DAY YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE TO LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD.

Hey Sarge I am not him and I would be all over a good troll thumping but I think this one got misread. He is actually sticking up for the officers. He is telling someone else not to question the judgement of the officer who shot since the person he is responding to apparently was questioning an officer's actions in that video. The part you are questioning "hey, I really respect you hard-working white people, but I'm still going to try to hurt or kill you with a rock, ok?" was him answering the question he had posed to that guy about "well what do you think they were yelling at the officer as they were trying to stone him?". He was being sarcastic toward the guy who was apparently trashing the cop in that video because that guy apparently complained about someone calling the rioters "tacos". He was telling that guy "One day you just might have to live in the real world" in regards to how sometimes we do have to shoot people.
At least that's the way I am reading it, anyone else get it that way now too?? He was sticking up for us and the cop in the video, not trying to trash us.

Sure, no problem. The last sentence was supposed to be seperated by a line. It was not meant to be part of the facetious quote. The part of joining the real world was meant for the person making the post that I was replying to...he clearly (to me anyway) doesn't understand what happens outside the theoretical ideal of a classroom, that in real life things are not what is shown on a 15 second "snapshot" video segment. I stand by the fact that the camera does lie. You only see the perspective of the cameraman or only what the camera was able to pick up. In this instance you don't see the progression of a problem that apparently escalated to the point that necessitated an officer shooting a man with a rock. Therefore, by not being an actual witness to the event, you must give the officer involved in the incident the benefit of the doubt and trust that he did the right thing, which I firmly believe 99.9% of officers strive to do. To be someone who plans on joining the law enforcement community, you would think that he (the person I was replying to) would believe in the integrity of the men and women that he plans on serving with and not be skeptical and make assumptions of guilt (which goes against the ideal of CJ system of innocent until proven guilty).
Hope that helps.

Also, for clarification, I fully back our officers. My sarcasm comes from those who disrespect, second-guess, and generally have a suspicious outlook toward the profession. What really pisses me off are those who would condemn, second-guess and verbally berate an officer who has had the unfortunate circumstance of being involved in a shooting. As a hospital corpsman that was stationed with the Marine Corps, I have seen the mental trauma and havoc that a shooting wreaks on the shooter. Those who were not there and have no idea of the true circumstances of what happened and yet still crucify an officer for a shooting should shut the f*** up. They are taking possibly the worst moment in that officers carreer and twisting the facts (that they know of), add libbing their own personal feelings, and leaving out mitigating circumstances just so that they can use it for whatever political or social cause that they believe in...the truth be damned. These type of people I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire. What these people do is beyond disrespectful...in fact, I'm not sure if there is a word strong enough for it. And when I see that happen, I say something. Any person who would literally put their life on the line and die for others who they don't even know other than as fellow Americans, should be respected and honored. Officers are constantly scrutinized for doing a jog that many people don't want to do, and it is BS.
As for the jerkoff that I was posting to originally, that was calling the people racists and saying the cop didn't have a right to shoot, he should just shut his meatwashers and say thank you to the officer for his service. Any person who would talk shit about the same group that he intends to work with is a BF. He should never be trusted or even allowed to enter into service. His comment (s)should be part of his oral board so that the department can see his thought process regarding police incidents. Would you want him as a partner? Would you want him to be the one who is going to give testimony to an incident that you were in? Hell no, not me. Why? Because he already has it in his mind that there should have been another way than what happened...the monday morning QB...the one who believes that in all incidents that force should not be used, that talking is the only way. Is that the viewpoint you want of a person who you work with when the fit hits the shan? ...and when the reports have to be filled out?
My opinion is not to excuse bad calls made by officers, and they do happen. But it is to give the benefit of the doubt to someone whose job it is to deal with this type of stuff day in and day out. Whose job it is to train and be educated about what is and isn't the right thing to do in a given situation. Whose job it is to know the Constitutional rights of citizens and not knowingly violate them. Officers are professionals, and with that should come enough respect that they are not automatically condemned for an action by people who don't know jack shit about what it is to be that officer in that situation in that moment in time.
Still think "shame shame shame"? I hope not. I hope this clears everything up.
